Cast & Crew
We cast all of our productions via spotlight and directly with our partnered casting and acting agencies.

If you are interested in working with us, please ask your agent to contact us on enquiries@frintonsummertheatre.org

If you would like to find out what positions we have available in our Crew and Operational Team. Please check our Work with us page Here
Volunteering
We rely on volunteers to support us in; distributing our marketing materials, manning our shop, leading activities and serving customers in the front of house.

If you are a member of the Friends you can volunteer directly with them.

However, if you would like to volunteer directly with the theatre please contact enquiries@frintonsummertheatre.org
Youth Ambassadors
Each year we offer six to ten placement opportunities. The placements consist of both creative practices (Director's Assistants) and technical and operational positions - working alongside our professional teams.

We also offer work experience to young people to gain insight into what it's like to work in a professional repertory theatre.

Read more about our Youth Ambassadors programme in 2022, funded by the Essex Arts and Culture Fund.
Hosting
Every year we are tasked with providing accommodation for actors and crew working on the season.
If you live locally to Frinton-on-sea and you are able to provide a bed to one of our cast and crew, please get in contact with us on Enquiries@frintonsummertheatre.org
Case Studies
We care about our community, and those who work and volunteer with us are part of that community. Here you can read some of our case studies exploring the experiences of those who have supported and worked with us through the summer.
Working in the box office has allowed me to learn how the theatre works from start to finish. From advertising, sales and production; i feel that i now have a very clear view of the logistics to put a show on. I will use the skills i have learned here in my studies and future career.
JAY HOPPING
Jay is now starting a 3 year degree in professional acting at East 15 Drama School.
Working in the front of house bar has allowed me to gain valuable experience in making and selling drinks to the public. I am hoping to find a job in a bar in London to help support myself and this experience has given me some professional experience to add to my CV, which will make it more likely for me to get a better job to support myself.
FLYNN MCCARTHY
Flynn is now starting a 3 year degree in music.
Private Peaceful was one of my first professional acting jobs. It was exciting and terrifying in equal measure, but everyone in the community was so welcoming and supportive and I was truly overwhelmed by the response. The Summer Theatre has the most wonderful team of dedicated, talented people working tirelessly to bring west-end standard theatre to the Essex coast, many of whom have gone on to become very good friends of mine. Coming back to Frinton for Dear Lupin was one of the easiest decisions I’ve made and I very much hope to return again in the future. I have made memories ‘beyond the gates’ that I shall cherish for the rest of my life.
WILL TAYLOR
Will Taylor works as a professional Actor
Leaving drama school and starting my acting career at Frinton couldn’t have been a warmer welcome into the profession.
It was a summer of lovelies and fun.
Having my professional debut with such seasoned actors was truly an incredible experience. Since then, amazing opportunities have presented themselves to me, which I wouldn’t have otherwise experienced if not for Frinton being my first professional credit. I will always be grateful to Frinton and hope to return for many years to come.
